LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky listed possible future candidates for the presidency of Russia.
Zhirinovsky’s list includes: Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Also possible successors, in his opinion, may be the governor of the Tula region Alexei Dyumin, the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
But at the same time someone else will be the successor,
Earlier, Zhirinovsky named candidates from his party for the presidential elections in Russia until 2048. For the next elections in 2024, he intends to nominate his son Igor Lebedev, in 2030 – Smolensk Governor Alexei Ostrovsky, in 2036 – Acting Governor of Khabarovsk Mikhail Degtyarev, in 2042 – Boris Chernyshov, who now works in Rosobrnadzor, wrote chernayakobra .ru.
On December 23, deputies of the State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill, according to which the current national leader Vladimir Putin can again nominate himself in the future presidential elections in Russia.
During a big press conference, Putin himself said that he had not yet made a decision on his participation in the 2024 elections. The President noted that he received formal permission to run from the people.
In the summer, Russia adopted amendments to the country’s Constitution. One of the new provisions in the Basic Law concerned the so-called zeroing, that is, refusal to take into account the previous presidential terms of Vladimir Putin, giving him the opportunity to run again for the presidency.
