About why Kyiv does not go to peace talks with the Russian Federation, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, explained.
He said that at the moment there are no grounds for the negotiations to be successful for Ukraine, so Kyiv does not agree to them, reports Ukraina.ru.
According to Podolyak, it is pointless to agree to the terms of the Russian Federation now, since the Russian Federation will unleash a new conflict in order to seize even more Ukrainian territory as soon as it accumulates reserves for this.
“We will get a war with other motives, other performers in six months or a year. If we get a new demarcation line, all of central and southern Ukraine will be left without people and in ruins. Today’s negotiation process is what Putin wanted – the destruction of Ukrainian statehood, only in a different way,” Podolyak said.
Therefore, Ukraine will not agree to a truce and will fight for the territories occupied by Russian troops, and also wants to achieve a revision of the status of Donbass and Crimea.
Earlier, British expert Timati Ashle published an article in which he stated that the battle for Kherson would end within the next few months. He further predicts an attempt by Russian President Vladimir Putin to influence the West by limiting gas and oil supplies.
Ashle suggested that NATO may refuse to support Ukraine if it agrees to Moscow’s terms, as the countries of the bloc are trying to weaken the Russian Federation and force it to be more accommodating on energy supplies.
Therefore, according to the British analyst, Ukraine will agree to negotiations only after it returns Kherson and Zaporozhye regions under its control.
