Ukraine will inflict “powerful retaliatory strikes” in Russia, if Russian troops fire on Ukrainian cities on holidays. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message, writes Free Press.
Ukraine celebrates Independence Day on August 24. Due to the “military special operation” carried out by the Russian Federation and the risk of missile strikes from Russia, Ukraine will not hold mass events.
In one of the recent video messages that Zelenskiy has been recording every day since the first day of Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine, he said that the Russian Federation has already used about 3,500 cruise missiles in strikes against Ukraine.
Despite the missile strikes and the fact that Russian troops are fighting in the south and east of Ukraine with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyiv refuses to comply with Moscow’s demands and declares that it will return Ukrainian territories with the support of the West. Ukraine is ready to act either by military means or at the negotiating table, to which the Ukrainian authorities agree only if the Russian troops are withdrawn to the borders before February 24.
