Zelensky honors memory of those killed during the liberation of Kiev from the Nazis

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of the soldiers on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the liberation of Kiev from the Nazis. This was reported in the office of the head of state.

The press service said that Zelensky, together with the leaders of the parliament, government, administration of the Kiev region and the capital, laid flowers on the territory of the national museum-reserve “Battle for Kiev in 1943”. The ceremony participants honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

“The liberation of Kiev is a story of the boundless indifference and cruelty of the“ great ”leaders and the boundless feat of the great fighters who liberated the city from the Nazis,” the president said.

The Opposition Platform – For Life Party also congratulated its compatriots on the day of the liberation of Kiev. Its representatives said they would oppose the rewriting of history.

Earlier it was reported that 70% of Ukrainians believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction. About a third of the respondents said that the war in Donbass is one of the main problems of the country.
