President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from 14 May "On the application, cancellation and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)." The document is published on the website of the head of state.
The decision provides for the extension of blocking of Russian social networks and Internet services, in particular Mail.Ru, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex, Kaspersky Lab, etc.
Validity of sanctions - three years.
From the sanctions list of legal entities, enforced by decree of President Petro Poroshenko from 15 May 2017 years, excluded 12 positions, including ogres removed deliveries from a number of companies - developers of the Sail software products.
In addition, from the sanctions list of individuals, enforced by presidential decree of 21 June 2018 of the year, two positions are excluded; from the sanctions list of legal entities enacted by the same decree are excluded and two positions are set out in another edition, the text of which is not yet made public; seven items are excluded from the sanctions list of individuals brought into force by presidential decree of 19 March 2019 of the year and from the list of legal entities - one position.
Access to some Russian and separatist resources in Ukraine has been limited since May 2017 of the year in accordance with the presidential decree by which Poroshenko enforced the NSDC decision on sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian individuals and companies.
April 2020 of the year, the SBU made proposals to extend the ban on Russian social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki networks for three years. 23 On April, the head of the department, Ivan Bakanov, proposed the National Security and Defense Council to extend sanctions against a number of Russian web resources and software products, such as Yandex, Mail.Ru, Doctor Web, "Kaspersky", "1C", as well as "Sail".
13 In May, the National Security and Defense Council reported that the draft decree on the extension of the blocking of Russian social networks was submitted to the Office of the President.
