President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the settlement in Donbass by videoconference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron, it is reported on the website of the Ukrainian leader.
Zelensky thanked Germany and France for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as for actively participating in the negotiations in the Normandy format.
In addition, the participants in the conversation discussed further steps towards a peaceful settlement and preparations for the next Normandy Four summit.
We will remind, earlier Zelensky declared that he was ready to meet with the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, if the topic of the meeting was the issue of the “occupied” territories. The Kremlin replied to this that the Russian president is not going to discuss with the Ukrainian leader the conflict in Donbass and the territorial affiliation of Crimea.
