Zelensky demanded to consider the ban on Russian tours in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asks to consider the option of banning tours for Russian artists in the country. He made such a statement after the petition on the website of the head of state’s office received more than 25 thousand votes.

Zelensky instructed the development of an initiative “to ensure the security of Ukraine, protect national interests and national cultural space” to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov and head of the country’s Security Service Ivan Bakanov. He also asked to work out the issues of improving the system for conducting tours of Russians and increasing responsibility for violating the requirements of the law.

In his response to the petition, Zelensky recalled that in Ukraine there is a list of persons, citizens of Russia, whose entry into the country is prohibited.

“The law establishes that it is not allowed to conduct touring events that popularize or propagandize the aggressor state [таковым Украина считает Россию] and its authorities, representatives of the authorities of the aggressor state and their actions, creating a positive image of the aggressor state, ”added the Ukrainian leader.

Earlier it was reported that at the moment there are 228 Russians on the “black list” of Ukraine. Last Thursday, October 21, it was joined by 13 actors.
