President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that vaccination against COVID-19 in the country will begin in February.
The Ukrainian leader announced this in a video message that was posted on his official Telegram channel.
According to Zelensky, one million doses of vaccine “from a leading international company” will soon arrive in Ukraine.
He also stressed that against the background of increased quarantine, the number of recovered in the country exceeded the number of cases.
“The situation is stable, controlled and not as threatening as in the spring,” the president said.
Earlier, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Ilya Kiva expressed the opinion that Vladimir Zelensky and his relatives could be vaccinated with the Russian vaccine against coronavirus.
