President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with reporters, admitted that the requirements of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have not been met, but this money is awaiting in Kiev. “It’s not easy,” he said.
According to Zelensky, the IMF program for Ukraine has not been fully implemented: for example, the law on the High Council of Justice and a number of other obligations of Kiev have not been adopted. However, Ukraine is counting on this money.
“They were fed for many years that there would be such a law. And now we have to do some things very quickly,” he complained to reporters, noting that “it’s not easy.”
However, he warned that Kiev is counting on this money.
“I am sure of that,” he said, answering the question if there is a chance to receive this money by the end of the year.
Earlier, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov said that friendship with the IMF turned out to be a big “zrada” for Zelensky. The President’s Office accused the foundation of having grossly set up the head of state before his trip to the UAE. According to him, shortly before Zelensky’s trip to the United Arab Emirates, where the politician planned to advertise the Ukrainian market for Arab investors, the IMF announced the completion of its mission in Ukraine. Thus, the fund created a negative background that could scare off potential investors.
At the same time, Milovanov stressed that Kiev had an agreement with the IMF. The fund had to coordinate with Bankova all its press releases concerning the Ukrainian mission. But he didn’t.
