Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned German journalists after the closure of RT in German. She stated, “You will like it.”
Russia is preparing a comment on the closure of the German RT bureau’s YouTube account. Maria Zakharova hinted that this response could affect the German media.
We are preparing a commentary on this matter. Everyone will like it, especially German journalists,
– she writes in Telegram.
A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also drew attention to how the news of the blocking of German RT was interpreted on the liberal TV Dozhd *.
They said that large foreign services do not close objectionable accounts just like that. They need a formal reason for this. Zakharova responded by saying that American Internet sites no longer need reasons to close their accounts. They do this of their own free will and on a regular basis.

The microblogging service Twitter last year even blocked the account of then-President Donald Trump, accusing him of inciting unrest, although the politician, by contrast, urged supporters to calm down.
Last year, the YouTube service (owned by Google) blocked the Constantinople account without explanation, despite the huge audience of subscribers. The Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the claim of the TV channel “Tsargrad TV” against Google and ordered the company to restore the account and YouTube channel in full, as well as renew the execution of the agreement on the channel’s monetization.
In parallel with this, another process developed: ordinary viewers were suing Google, demanding to restore their access to the TV channel and its archives. The Moscow Zamoskvoretsky Court also sided with the applicants.
