The Foreign Ministry warned the United States against sanctions against 35 businessmen and officials. “We would like to once again warn Washington against a rash step on the“ sanctions track, ”Zakharova warned.
New US sanctions against 35 businessmen and officials are the result of an acute “staff shortage.” This opinion was expressed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on Washington’s plans.
We are talking about amendments to the US defense budget for 2022, in which it is recommended to impose sanctions against 35 Russian citizens who “may be involved in human rights violations.” The list includes: Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, head of the CEC Ella Pamfilova, mayors of Moscow and St. Petersburg, a number of ministers, heads of the FSB and the Investigative Committee, as well as a number of others.
According to Maria Zakharova, this list is the result of the lack of competent specialists in Russia in the United States. Because it could only be compiled by people who have absolutely no idea about Russian realities.
We would like to once again warn Washington against a rash step on the “sanctions track”,
– warned the diplomat.
