The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on an article by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, about manipulations in the COVID-19 pandemic. According to her, in it, a European official tried to draw “completely inappropriate parallels” between Moscow’s efforts to combat the coronavirus and the terrorist activity of Middle Eastern terrorists.
Zakharova believes that the growing “war of vaccines” is accompanied by a stream of rumors and fakes.
Unfortunately, this phenomenon has become one of the inherent attributes of the current COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, we were shocked by the fact that such a prominent representative of international politics as Borrell joined this practice., – it says in Zakharova’s commentary posted on the Foreign Ministry website.
She added that Borrell’s tricks should not be perceived “otherwise than an attempt at unfair competition,” which is directed against Russia and its drugs for coronavirus.
We demand from Brussels an explanation of its misleading words, – emphasized Zakharova.
chernayakobra.ru previously reported that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has approved the use of the first coronavirus vaccine in the EU, developed by the American pharmaceutical concern Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech. This was announced by the executive director of the agency Emer Cook.
