Zaitsev’s “Blockade Diary” won the Golden Eagle Award for Best Film

The film “Blockade Diary” by Andrey Zaitsev received the Golden Eagle award in the “Most Important Film” nomination. Also, Olga Ozollapinya, the performer of the main role, received the prize as if the most important actress.


On January 22, the Golden Eagle award ceremony took place. It was awarded to the most important, in the opinion of the jury, films.

Both Dear Comrades and Salvation Alliance were nominated for the Golden Eagle Award in the Most Important Film category, but the prize was taken by Andrei Zaitsev’s The Siege Diary.

The canvas tells about the difficulties and horrors of the life of Leningraders during the blockade from 1941 to 1944. The plot covers a total of one-one day, which shows the whole picture of those terrible years.

The Best Actress Award was given to Olga Ozollapina, an actress from the Blockade Diary.
