Actress Yulia Vysotskaya, in honor of the 26th anniversary of her acquaintance with Andrei Konchalovsky, shared rare archival footage.
On June 8, Yulia Vysotskaya and Andrei Konchalovsky celebrate 26 years of dating. And it is no coincidence that the countdown does not start from the day of the wedding or the beginning of the relationship, because for the couple the most memorable in the history of their relationship is the day of the first meeting.
In honor of such a memorable event, Julia posted a series of photographs on social networks, devoting the text under them to her beloved spouse. The pictures show amazing shots from almost 30 years ago – on one, young Vysotskaya smiles carelessly into the camera lens, and on the other, she sits in an embrace with Konchalovsky. It was in such a young beauty that the director fell in love at first sight.
“In your book ”Uplifting Deception” there is a chapter – She – and there is this photograph. It’s been 26 years. Nobody knew how it would be. As your Chekhov says – no one knows anything … but you and I know something! And we won’t tell anyone #thisday”, the actress signed the publication.
Recall that the romance of the famous director and the young artist, which began in Sochi in 1996, immediately grew from a resort to a real and serious one. A few days after they met, they flew to Turkey: there, Konchalovsky was filming the Odyssey tape.
Then they moved to London, where Andrei Sergeevich worked, and Yulia studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After 2 years, the couple got married – Julia became the fifth wife of the master, and if at first everyone doubted their marriage, now he is considered one of the strongest in the Russian film business.
Despite the 37-year age difference, which, as the spouses note, they never felt, they are connected by Mikhail Kalatozov’s film The Cranes Are Flying. After watching it, Andrei Sergeevich wanted to become a director, and Yulia an artist.
According to the 48-year-old actress, the secret of their long and happy marriage lies in the community of interests. And Konchalovsky himself notes: it’s all about love, which is knowledge:
“Knowledge and acceptance of all hypostases of a loved one, of all his ages, of the entire infinite, multifaceted image in his development. I know so much about Yulia that I can say: all her states of a girl, a teenager, a girl, a young woman and, finally, the mother of my children, stand before my eyes. And at the same time, I have not yet fully recognized Yulia. Different facets of the person with whom you connected life, you learn gradually, over the years. And when even unbearable features become expensive, this is the key to a real spiritual connection between people. Knowledge is not of individual aspects of the personality, but comprehensive knowledge – this is what I can call love today.“.
