Presenter Julia Menshova is at a loss from the situation.
This Wednesday, June 8, it became known that by the end of this month, the stores of the Spanish trading company, which owns the brands Zara, Massimo Dutti and others, intend to return to the Russian market. In February of this year, they announced their departure from our country against the backdrop of events in the world.
TV presenter and actress Yulia Menshova in the telegram channel gave her assessment of the demarches of companies that first left the Russian market, and now returned or announced their return.
“I’m thinking: how does this technically happen in our crazy world? That is, literally someone calls the “main” and says: so, you urgently need to pretend that you are closing! No one cares about losing your profits! And then someone also whispers into the phone: that’s it, the emotional storm in the world has subsided, okay – you can open up again”, Yulia Menshova reasoned.
She clearly articulated her position, calling such decisions of company management hypocrisy and a dictatorship to which business is obliged to obey.
“In general, for me, all these departures and returns of large trading companies are a demonstration of some hellish and shameful hypocrisy. The position in which they tried so hard to convince us is not at all in this – absolutely none. But there is the most obvious example of the monstrous dictatorship of the “new ethics”, where even business is forced to take under the hood“, – concluded Yulia Menshova.
