“You’re sitting?” Kadyrov told how Putin awarded him the rank of major general

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, told how Russian President Vladimir Putin told him about the conferral of the rank of major general. According to him, he was talking to the Russian leader, standing at attention.

- When I was told: "Putin is calling," I ran so quickly, took the phone, and, as usual, stood at attention. President: "Good afternoon. Are you sitting?" I say: "Vladimir Vladimirovich, when I am talking to you, I am standing at attention." He says: "There is a reason for this", - read the decree and congratulated, - said Kadyrov in an interview with the TV channel "Russia 24".

After that, the head of Chechnya jokingly "asked for more sanctions" against him and his entourage. At the same time, Kadyrov explained that for him this is not just a military rank, since it was conferred by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, whom the leader of the republic considers the most authoritative person in the world.

Recall that in mid-July, the United States imposed sanctions against Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as his wife and two older daughters. After that, the head of the republic suggested to the State Department not to waste time on trifles and introduce penalties against his entire large family, including children.
