The Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich turned to businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin with a request to comment on his material about Wagner PMCs. The detailed response of the businessman was published by the press service of the Concord company.
The entrepreneur was asked about the role of the above organization in the Russian special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. The businessman noted that he had no information about the Wagner PMC. He asked the journalist to share information about the organization so that he could answer the constant questions of Gershkovich’s colleagues. The entrepreneur did not ignore the issue of correctional institutions, recalling that he had been to colonies in the past.
“I confirm with full confidence that I did not just visit the colonies, but served a sentence of 10 years. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the addresses of all the colonies in which I was,” the publication says.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass from aggression by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian leader also clarified that the servicemen only hit army facilities and do not set themselves the goal of occupying a neighboring country.
