Yemeni information minister says Houthis are to blame for attack on Aden airport

Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani said supporters of the Ansar Allah (Houthis) insurgency were to blame for the attack on Aden airport, which killed 27 people. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Sky News Arabia TV channel.

According to the minister, the terrorist act was committed by the Houthi rebels with the support of Iran. For its part, according to the Al Arabiya TV channel, the Houthi Politburo denied information about the movement’s involvement in the attack on the airport.

Yemen’s South Transitional Council (UPC) spokesman Nizar Kheisam said the country’s new government would not leave Aden after the terrorist attack and would continue to do its job.

We will remind, today at the international airport of Aden exploded mortar shells simultaneously with the arrival of the ministers of the new government of Yemen. The politicians were not hurt.

The victims of the incident were at least 27 people, dozens of people were injured as a result of the attack on the Aden airport in Yemen.
