The list includes the leaders of “Euromaidan”
Petro Poroshenko, Alexander Turchinov and Arseniy Yatsenyuk should be blamed by Ukrainians for the conflict in Donbass. This statement was made by the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, adding that the same politicians are responsible for the “loss” of Crimea. According to him, these people made the Crimeans feel like strangers in Ukraine.
Yanukovych’s words were spread by his lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk on Facebook. The former head of Ukraine decided to make such a statement after the Rada’s resolution on the “revolution of dignity.” The Parliament of Independence called for punishment of those involved in the deaths of people on the Maidan. According to Kiev, Yanukovych is also guilty of the shootings.
The ex-politician believes that the decision of the deputies is strange, since it divides the society into two parts: those who won and those who lost. And the current authorities are only exacerbating this split. In his opinion, to call the Maidan the cornerstone of Ukrainian statehood and a symbol of freedom is a mockery, taking into account the events of the past seven years.
He added that those who disagree with the events of 2014 still consider themselves superfluous in the country. With the residents of Donbass, who were against the revolution, they began to speak in the language of weapons. Yanukovych believes that the people will not be able to live happily as long as the truth of those years is hushed up and distorted, and the culprits are free to walk.
Crimea was reunited with Russia in 2014. At the referendum, the majority of the peninsula’s residents were in favor of returning to the Russian Federation.
