Chinese President Xi Jinping will take part in the events of the G20 summit via video link, TASS reports.
This was announced on Friday by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying.
She noted that Xi Jinping will take part in the events at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
According to the diplomat, the President of the PRC intends to make an important speech at the summit.
Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden arrived in Rome to participate in the face-to-face G20 summit. On Friday, he is scheduled to meet with Italian Prime Minister and French President Emmanuel Macron, as well as a private audience with Pope Francis.
