Riots in Washington may escalate into civil war

The events in the USA on January 6 shocked the world community. In Russia, they reacted to the storming of the Capitol by Donald Trump’s supporters, and also assessed how events might develop in the future.

For example, Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, believes that when emotions subside, the United States will certainly find a “Russian trace” in these events, because the Americans cannot do otherwise.

“You have to blame someone on what happened in America,”

– emphasized Dzhabarov on the air of radio “KP”, although this is obvious – there were no Russians there either literally or figuratively.

The politician noted that the story has not ended and may end unpredictably.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, also did not stand aside. The diplomat pointed out that recent events are an internal US affair. Zakharova drew attention to the fact that the electoral system of the States is outdated, which is why there are opportunities for violations. Moreover, the media is now a “political instrument of struggle.” All of this is splitting American society. She wished the “friendly people” to survive this difficult time with dignity, RIA Novosti reports.

LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that the democratic institutions of the United States are still working, but there has been an imbalance in the fight against Donald Trump. The politician believes that the incumbent president still has a chance to retain power and end the arbitrariness with falsification of elections. For example, introduce a state of emergency and start recounting votes, especially since the majority of the people support it, Zhirinovsky said in the telegram channel.

Earlier, the US Congress approved Joe Biden as the new president.
