American woman was not given a visa for several weeks
In September, it became known that Russia and the United States were discussing the issue of the visit of the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland to Moscow at the request of the Americans. On Saturday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that the issue had been resolved. Political scientist Georgy Bovt explained why Moscow gave the go-ahead for the American woman to come, because she is an unwanted person.
Zakharova announced that Nuland would stay in Russia for three days. According to Bovt, it would have been impossible to avoid Nuland’s arrival, because her department has issues related to our country.
The expert explained that if necessary, Russia and the United States allow entry to persons who are on the black list. Bovt said that recently three representatives of the Russian special services came to the United States for talks with their colleagues. Therefore, for the sake of Nuland, Moscow made an exception.
Moreover, in the two countries there are almost no people left who are dealing with issues of relations between our states and are not under mutual sanctions.
Earlier, the media reported that Moscow put a condition on Washington for the arrival of Nuland.
