While Europe is pulling, Finland is ready to admit "Satellite V" – Yle

Finnish doctors consider it possible to allow entry without tests for the vaccinated “Sputnik V”. “THL does not believe that those vaccinated with Sputnik V may pose a risk of worsening the situation with the coronavirus in Finland,” the country’s medical department said in a statement.

Finland may allow Russian citizens vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine to enter the country without passing covid tests. This was reported by the Finnish TV company Yle with reference to the National Institute for Health and Social Development (THL).

It is noted that a document with relevant recommendations has already been signed by the head of THL and the head of one of the departments of the organization. The report says that Russia and Finland are neighboring countries, and also that the effectiveness of “Sputnik V” is comparable to the effectiveness of vaccines approved in Europe. Given the flow of traffic across the border, the requirement to test those already vaccinated for COVID-19 will create problems for both Finnish border posts and travelers from Russia.

THL does not believe that those vaccinated with Sputnik V may pose a risk of worsening the situation with the coronavirus in Finland,

– the document says.

In this regard, THL advises to abolish the requirement to undergo coronavirus testing if a person is vaccinated with Sputnik V. That is, in fact, Finland is ready to recognize the Russian vaccine.

Recall that the European Medicines Agency is delaying the process of recognizing Russian vaccines. Because of this, those vaccinated with Sputnik V are still forced to undergo tests for COVID-19. Nevertheless, more and more European countries are beginning to privately recognize the Russian vaccine.
