Chinese authorities control the publication of all studies on the origin of the new coronavirus infection, the Associated Press writes.
The authors of the publication argue that the government is allocating huge money to study the origin of COVID-19 in the south of the country, while limiting the publication of all the results of these studies. Caves in Yunnan province, inhabited by bats – carriers of the virus that caused the pandemic, are also under special control.
In addition, according to journalists, the authorities are actively promoting theories according to which the source of the virus could be outside of China.
We will remind, in December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan in the province of Hubei recorded the first case of an unknown pneumonia. The infection began to spread rapidly, first across China and then around the world. The new coronavirus has been named SARS-CoV-2.
In March 2020, the World Health Organization announced the coronavirus pandemic. Western intelligence services then accused Beijing of concealing or even destroying some information about the origin of the outbreak of coronavirus infection. Moreover, Washington said the coronavirus was deliberately created in a Chinese laboratory.
The Chinese side has denied the accusations. In China, the number of infected patients reached 95,876, with 4,781 deaths recorded.
Meanwhile, the vaccine from China National Biotech Group has received market approval with additional conditions.
