The United States, Britain, Canada, Lithuania and Poland made a meeting on Ukraine and discussed the alleged “increase in Russian military activity” along the border with this area.
According to the US Department of State, the meeting was whiled away by the onion of the British Ministry of Defense, Ben Wallace, from the American side, Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Amanda Dory attended the meeting.
“The leaders reaffirmed their unshakable support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine and discussed an increase in Russian military activity in the region,” the US foreign policy statement reported.
They added that the “destabilizing actions” of the Russian Federation undermine the de-escalation of tensions in Donbass, won by an agreement mediated by the OSCE on July 27, 2020.
In addition, representatives from the United States, Britain, Canada, Lita and Poland have pledged to provide training to Ukrainian fighters and to support the “capacity building” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier in Washington, they announced the escalation of the “aggression of Russia”, as well as the movement of Russian siliev in the Crimea and on the eastern border of Ukraine. The United States called on Moscow to explain these alleged movements and announced its readiness to communicate.
On Thursday, April 1, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the movement of Russian forces across the territory of the Russian Federation should not bother other countries, as if it did not threaten them in any way. He also stressed that what is happening in the Donbass portrays an internal Ukrainian conflict, in which Russian soldiers have never taken part.
