The European Union will not include President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in the sanctions list. This initiative was not supported by Germany, Italy and France.
Die Welt writes that the EU noted that the channels of communication with the President of Belarus must be "kept open", despite all the circumstances.
If sanctions are applied to Lukashenka, this will lead to a complete cessation of the dialogue with the country.
We will remind, to impose sanctions against a number of officials of Belarus. Including against Lukashenka, Poland and the Baltic states proposed.
Restrictive measures include a ban on entry. They can affect those responsible for the falsification and violence.
