It is no secret that Max Barskikh and Svetlana Loboda received the lion’s share of their earnings in Russia, but from the beginning of the special operation they decided that this meant nothing to them and they could easily live without this money.
Barskikh promised to go to serve in the army and go to the front line, and Loboda signed up to volunteer. But for a long time this patriotic impulse was not enough and everyone returned to earning money at concerts.
But the guys forgot that all their hits are in Russian, and even performing them in Riga, Berlin, Brooklyn or Haifa, is still a “crime” against the Ukrainian people. So, as soon as the first videos from such concerts hit the net, Loboda flew in from Barsky for “songs in the language of the aggressor.”
Someone demands to simply stop singing them, and the most desperate demand to ban Barsky and Loboda from entering Ukraine.
Now think about how to live on. As an option, you can try to sing about the Mists in Ukrainian.
