Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic named those responsible for the energy crisis in Europe.
During a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the summit of the countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans, which is being held in Slovenia, Aleksandr Vucic expressed his opinion about who is to blame for the gas collapse that is now observed in Europe. According to him, the fault lies with the European countries, which did not conclude long-term contracts for gas supplies from Russia on time.
According to Vucic, Europe’s indiscretion will lead to the fact that in the end Moscow will become solely to influence gas prices. He noted that in March they wanted in Europe, at the exit from the main wave of the coronavirus pandemic, to raise their production at the expense of cheap gas from storage, but they miscalculated.
“We spent all our reserves, but did not sign agreements on long-term purchases of gas with Russia on time,” he said.
