Volodin proposed to impose sanctions for encouraging nationalists in Ukraine

To prevent the revival of nationalism in Europe, it is necessary to impose sanctions and ask the Ukrainian leadership for its glorification. The chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin wrote about this in his Telegram channel, commenting on the rally of nationalists held in Kiev the day before.

He noted that the European Parliament, PACE and OSCE PA should condemn this event. Volodin believes that it is necessary to “hold accountable” people who promote such a policy and ignore it.

According to the speaker of the State Duma, “Ukraine is sliding more and more towards a state based on nationalist ideology.” This is evidenced by the holding of a rally of nationalists, which was dedicated to Stepan Bandera.

Volodin stressed that the nationalist ideology is directed against all of humanity.

“It is unacceptable when in the 21st century the leaders of Nazism are again glorified, who organized atrocities, were accomplices of the Nazis, burned villages to the ground, killed old people, women, children, babies,” the politician said.

He added that they fought against Nazism not only in the USSR, but also in the USA and Great Britain. According to Volodin, the fact of arms supplies to Kiev from the NATO countries against this background is monstrous.

On the eve, torchlight processions were held in Kiev and other regions of Ukraine on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the birth of the ideologist of Ukrainian nationalism Stepan Bandera. During the Great Patriotic War, he collaborated with Nazi Germany, and also led a movement that fought against Soviet troops.

Earlier, Israel condemned the march of Ukrainian nationalists in honor of Stepan Bandera.
