Volleyball club Lokomotiv from Kaliningrad defeated Moscow Dynamo in the final of the Russian women’s championship.
The meeting, which took place in Kazan on Saturday, ended with a score of 3: 2 (21:25, 19:25, 25:23, 25:19, 15:12).
Having lost the first two games, the Kaliningrad athletes were able to level the score and then win the decisive fifth game.
Note that Lokomotiv won the Super League gold medals for the first time. Previously, the team became vice-champion twice – in 2019 and 2020.
Earlier it was reported that the Moscow women’s volleyball club “Dynamo” quarantined for coronavirus.
As reported on the team’s website, several athletes and a representative of the coaching staff received positive tests for COVID-19.
Due to the quarantine, Dynamo missed the Russian championship games with Dynamo-Ak Bars (January 5) and with Lokomotiv from the Kaliningrad region (January 9).
