When materials from foreign media outlets are mentioned without much notice, publications will be fined up to 50 thousand rubles.
Vladimir Putin pushed a law injecting a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles for distributing in the media, including online publications, notices and materials of a media foreign agent without prescribing this status. This document is published on the official website of legal information.
These changes were made to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
From now on, for violation of this law, fines will be applied for citizens in the amount of 2 to 2.5 thousand rubles, for officials – from 4 to 5 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 40 to 50 thousand rubles.
It is worth recalling that since March 1 of this year, the RF entered into an act of amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the RF, establishing administrative liability for violation of the rules for marking in the media information about non-profit organizations, public associations and individuals looking to foreign agents.
