“Very bad scenario”: Volodin appreciated the new sanctions against Russia

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin reacted to the sixth package of sanctions adopted by the European Union against Russia.

According to the politician, Western countries are increasing restrictions against Russia to their own detriment. After reflecting on the results of the sanctions, Viacheslav Volodin came to the conclusion that the European Union no longer finds ways to impede the development of the Russian Federation.

In his telegram channel, a member of the State Duma delivered a disappointing verdict to states that are not ready to compromise. The speaker believes that his foreign colleagues are now solving a disappointing task: they have to “choose between a bad and a very bad scenario for the economies and citizens of their countries.”

The political figure made it clear that Russia will definitely survive under the new restrictions, since the harm of sanctions can really be neutralized and even converted into benefits. But the countries that initiated the bans doom themselves to huge costs for the sake of energy resources. The European Union is threatened with an overpayment of over 250 billion euros annually, writes Viacheslav Volodin.

The speaker of the State Duma is confident that the economic turmoil in Europe is directly related to America – the United States dictates its rules so that the West receives the main damage from sanctions. As a result, the countries of the European Union are even more dependent on the dictates of Washington and are in trouble, against their own interests.

Viacheslav Volodin summed up the speech with a positive assumption. The power of the Russian Federation will increase when the state overcomes the sanctions, the expert believes.
