Vaccination with the Russian “Sputnik V” started in Argentina

In Argentina, today at nine o’clock in the morning local time (15.00 Moscow time), vaccination of citizens against coronavirus with the Russian drug Sputnik V started.

According to RIA Novosti, health workers will be the first to be vaccinated against the virus.

Recall that on December 24, the first batch of Russian vaccine in the amount of 300 thousand doses arrived in Argentina. After that, 315 thousand residents of the Argentine province of Buenos Aires applied for vaccination.

In January, the country’s authorities hope to receive 5 million doses of the Russian vaccine against the new coronavirus Sputnik V, including 1 million doses of the second component of the drug. And in February, according to the contract, another 14.7 million doses of the Russian drug should be delivered to Argentina.
