The administration of the President of the United States Joe Biden has suspended the execution of some arms trade deals to other countries.

According to the US Department of State, “suspended the execution of some unfinished deliveries and transactions in the defense sector.”

The American administration has met such a decision “to enable the new leadership to make estimates” of these transactions, writes TASS.

In a statement from the US Foreign Office, it is noted that such assessments are considered to be the usual one at the beginning of the work of the newly made president.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States is suspending arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the Reduced Arab Emirates (UAE). The publication clarified that it is, in particular, about the supply of high-precision ammunition by Saudi Arabia, as well as fifth-generation F-35 fighters to the Emirates.

The newspaper’s keys ratified that Washington, in particular, wants to be sure that American weapons will not be used in Yemen.
