The United States and China apparently agreed on one of the important conditions of competition, follows from the message from the White House about the past telephone conversations between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
It is clarified that during the telephone conversation the heads of the countries touched upon the issues of competition between the two countries.
“The two leaders discussed the responsibility of both countries to ensure that competition does not escalate into conflict,” the report says.
According to the White House, in general, the heads of the countries held a broad strategic discussion, during which they discussed both areas in which the interests of their countries coincide, and areas where interests categorically diverge. They agreed to continue to discuss both sets of issues openly and directly.
