The United States will continue to impose sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to State Department spokesman Ned Price.
According to him, Washington will continue to “follow the law and implement the PEESA law” and impose sanctions on organizations involved in the construction of the pipeline.
Recall that the US Treasury on Tuesday imposed sanctions against the Transadria company and the Marlin vessel involved in the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that this decision of the American authorities is a blatant example of unilateral and politically motivated restrictions by Western countries.
