The United States military condemned the DPRK’s actions to launch a ballistic missile. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Indo-Pacific Command of the American Armed Forces.
The report says that after the missile launches, the American side organized consultations with South Korea, Japan and other regional allies on this issue.
The command stressed that the launch of the rocket does not pose a threat to the United States, as well as its allies. However, the military called on Pyongyang to abandon any destabilizing actions. In addition, they promised to continue to monitor the situation and protect friendly countries such as South Korea and Japan.
Earlier it was reported that the DPRK had tested a short-range ballistic missile. Representatives of the South Korean National Security Council expressed disappointment about this.
The launches were also announced by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. According to him, North Korea fired two shells towards the Sea of Japan, which are likely ballistic missiles.
