US chief infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci said the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine will continue to be used “in one form or another,” Interfax reports.
“I estimate we will continue to use it in one form or another,” he said.
According to him, there will be some kind of warning or restriction, or risk assessment.
“I think by Friday we will already know in which direction to move. Hopefully we’ll get back on track, ”added Fauci.
According to the New York Times, six women between the ages of 18 and 48 have had blood clots after being vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson. One patient died, another was hospitalized in critical condition. Meanwhile, according to the CDC, a total of about 7 million US citizens received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
On Tuesday, the use of the drug was suspended in all states of the United States.
