The US Treasury Department has added two Russians to the cyber-related sanctions list.
According to TASS, the updated list includes: Muscovite Dmitry Karasavidi, born in 1985 and a native of Voronezh, Danil Potekhin, born in 1995.
Earlier, the US Treasury imposed sanctions against three Russians and one citizen of Ukraine. The list includes Anton Andreev, Daria Aslanova, Artem Lifshits, as well as the non-factional deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Derkach. In the United States, they are suspected of involvement in cyberattacks and interference in the American elections.
In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier that Russia has repeatedly offered the United States to deal with unfounded accusations of "interference" in their internal affairs, but Washington is "shirking" from direct conversation.
According to Lavrov, Russia offered the United States to resume the mechanism of consultations on cybersecurity, since the American side often accused Russia of hacker attacks.
