In the 1980s, Mickey Rourke, starred in several top movies, including 9 1/2 Weeks, and had everything your heart desires, including a dozen motorcycles, a golden Rolls-Royce, an LA mansion, a bar , a sports club, a candy store and, of course, women.
But rampant drinking deprived him not only of the roles in the films “Rain Man” and “Pulp Fiction”, but of everything that was acquired. Then there were 6 years of professional boxing, as a result of which, his face turned into a shapeless mess.
Luckily, his friends were able to drag him back to the movies and Sin City, Iron Man 2, The Expendables, and even an Oscar nomination for The Wrestler appeared in his life.
A couple of years ago, in an interview, he said that now he only drinks wine at dinner in the company of his chihuahuas, and even then only on holidays.
And the other day the paparazzi caught him in one of the grocery stores and, frankly, he did not look like a decent citizen.
But if the wrinkled face could still be explained by the legacy of the boxing profession, then greasy unwashed hair definitely has nothing to do with it.
So, there are big doubts that wine is only on holidays. But he is still loved, recognized and asked to be photographed.
