United States, Britain and EU countries in the UN Security Council blamed Minsk for the migration crisis

The United States, Great Britain, as well as the EU countries in the United Nations Security Council, that Belarus allegedly uses migrants to destabilize the situation in neighboring states.

The statement, which was published on the website of the US mission to the UN, said that the United States, Britain, Estonia, France, Ireland, Norway and Albania condemn “the organized use of people in the political interests of the Belarusian side.”

In addition, according to the authors of the document, the Belarusian authorities allegedly divert attention from violations of human rights within the republic itself.

It is noted that Western countries are ready to discuss sanctions against Belarus and those who “contribute to the migration crisis.” The United States, Britain and the EU countries in the UN Security Council also called on Minsk to provide migrants with protection and assistance.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called the statements that the Belarusian head Alexander Lukashenko was behind the migration crisis.

On the eve of the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin said that Moscow is ready to provide support to Minsk if the European Union introduces new restrictive measures against the republic.
