The official did not cope with the emotions that should be inherent in the representative of the foreign policy department
Within the walls of the UN, all Russian journalists were called “terrorist propagandists.” Vladimir Lakomov, Director of the International Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, was honored with such a statement, who blurted out rudeness and ran away from the RIA Novosti correspondent.
After one of the meetings of the UNGA First Committee dealing with disarmament and international security, the agency’s observer approached a member of Ukrainian diplomacy on the sidelines, introduced himself and tried to ask him a question. But he categorically refused to answer him.
“I do not talk to terrorists, especially terrorist propagandists,” said Pan Lakomov.
The correspondent decided to ask the diplomat to clarify whether he considers all Russian media as such, to which he, after thinking for a short time, replied: “Yes, propaganda terrorists.”
According to Pan Lakomov, our journalists are allegedly “trained not to tell people the truth.”
During the repeated attempt to talk to the diplomat, the correspondent recalled that representatives of the Ukrainian media in Russia have the opportunity to conduct a dialogue with the political leadership of our country. As an example, he cited the controversial and scandalous journalist of the UNIAN agency Roman Tsymbalyuk, known for his boorish questions addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition, he periodically enters into disputes with the director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
But here, too, the attempt was unsuccessful. True, Pan Lakomov no longer began to scatter insults, but silently retreated from the Russian journalist.
On the question of Tsymbalyuk. The journalist this summer reacted very emotionally to Putin’s article about Nezalezhnaya – he pondered when Moscow “will return” to Kiev “the primordially Ukrainian territories”, namely Taganrog.
