Former Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Bosnia and Herzegovina Volodymyr Tsybulnik pointed out three problems of Kiev that are currently on the way of the country to the European Union. According to the deputy, the Ukrainian authorities have chosen a dangerous tactic for European integration.
According to Tsybulnik, firstly, close cooperation on EU accession with Georgia and Moldova may affect Ukraine’s European prospects.
Secondly, instead of empty statements, the Ukrainian authorities should seriously tackle the country’s economy, starting the implementation of those reforms “without which EU membership is unattainable in principle.”
According to him, the third point does not depend on Kiev, but it is alarming and calls into question the country’s European integration – the fact is that the European Union does not have a clear understanding of the need to expand the association.
