Three Ukrainian TV channels 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK, whose broadcasting was previously blocked by Kiev, registered Novosti Mediaholding LLC.
According to the head of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko in his telegram channel, 100 people became the founders of the LLC. The minister specified that the registration took place on 18 February.
Recall that in early February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against MP of Ukraine from the Opposition Platform – For Life faction Taras Kozak. Against this background, the state banned the broadcasting of three TV channels from his holding for five years. On YouTube, their employees have created their own channel called “Stop Censorship 112 Ukraine, ZIK, NewsOne”.
After blocking the channels, OLE announced the start of impeachment proceedings against Zelensky, calling his actions anti-constitutional.
The American embassy in Kiev, meanwhile, said it supports “efforts to counter Russia’s malicious influence.” The Russian Foreign Ministry considered this statement “enchanting”.
