Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk said that as early as June 22, the German authorities could begin deliveries of howitzers to the Ukrainian military.
According to him, by the end of the month, seven German-made self-propelled guns may appear at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also noted that during the summer, Germany will transfer 30 Gepard SZUs to Kyiv. Melnik added that the deliveries of only these two types of weapons from all previously announced by the German government are actually being carried out.
The diplomat also spoke about the possible transfer of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the German authorities have been blocking the delivery of 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicles for six weeks under far-fetched pretexts.
