Ukraine withdrew from the agreement with Russia on cooperation in the field of tourism. The corresponding decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of the country. The meeting was broadcast on the government’s YouTube channel.
The explanatory note notes that withdrawal from the agreement is necessary after the termination of actual cooperation between Ukraine and Russia, and emphasizes that Kiev does not see any prospects for establishing such cooperation in the future.
Let us remind you that the agreement was concluded on July 16, 1999 in Kiev. The parties agreed to strengthen and encourage cooperation in the field of tourism on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, legislation of both states and international treaties.
Earlier, Ukraine unilaterally withdrew from a number of agreements with Russia and the CIS. So, from April 1, 2019, the treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between states ceased to operate.
