The State Border Service of Ukraine is strengthening security measures on the border with Belarus, reports TASS, citing the press service of the department.
As specified, additional reserves were involved to protect this section of the state border, including employees of the Dozor unit and the dog training center.
The press service added that the border aviation forces and unmanned aerial vehicles carry out air monitoring of the border on an ongoing basis. In addition, the situation in the water area is monitored by SAFE Boat 27 boats.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent a note to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry after Belarusian border guards searched the car of the Ukrainian ambassador Igor Kizim. In Kiev, they demanded to give an explanation of what happened and to qualify the actions of the border guards.
In early September, the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko accused Ukraine, as well as Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania, of interfering in the country's internal affairs.
