Ukraine signed an agreement with Moldova on the supply of 700 million cubic meters. m of gas

Naftogaz Ukrainy signed an agreement with the Moldovan company Energocom on the supply of up to 700 million cubic meters of gas, if necessary. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of “Economic Truth” with reference to a source in the government.

According to him, Naftogaz will sell the resource acquired in Europe at a profit for the company. The government clarified that they are not talking about gas of their own production.

Earlier it was reported that on October 22, a state of emergency was declared in Moldova due to a shortage of fuel. The official representative of Gazprom, Sergei Kupriyanov, noted that Moldova owes Russia about 433 million dollars for gas. Prime Minister of the Republic Natalya Gavrilitsa said that the country does not recognize this debt.

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov called Moldova’s request to Kiev desperate for the supply of 15 million cubic meters of gas. He stressed that Chisinau will have to look for a way out of the fuel crisis without the help of the US and Europe.

On Wednesday, October 27, a new round of negotiations on the supply of blue fuel will be held in St. Petersburg.
