Ukraine has requested emergency assistance from the Slovakian power system in the amount of 100 MW. This was reported on the website of the national energy company (NEC) Ukrenergo.
It is specified that the reason for the request was the shutdown of two units of DTEK Burshtynskaya TPP. Only five power units were in operation. Before the activation of emergency assistance at the station, the second power unit was taken out of repair ahead of schedule. Once it is loaded to 100 MW, emergency assistance can be deactivated.
Earlier, Ukraine has already asked Slovakia for help. Kiev also received 500 MW from the power system of Belarus.
Recall that Ukraine stopped importing electricity from Russia on November 1. Last Friday, November 5, most of the power units in the country stopped. Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Danilyuk said that the Ukrainian authorities are preparing for rolling blackouts in the country.
