The Ministry of Health of Ukraine signed an agreement for the purchase of 1 million 913 doses of the vaccine against coronavirus infection from Sinovac Biotech. The press service of the department reported.
Negotiations with the company on the supply of the drug have been underway since September 2020. The first batch of 700 thousand doses will be delivered to Ukraine within 30 days after the registration of the vaccine either in the manufacturing country or in other countries.
Sinovac Biotech is China’s largest vaccine company. It produces 300 to 500 million doses annually. Since its inception since 2002, Sinovac Biotech has carried out over 3 billion vaccinations.
As a reminder, Russian parliamentarians commented on Ukraine’s refusal of the Sputnik V vaccine, and also responded to the words of the country’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who called Sputnik V a weapon of hybrid war.
